Who dis?

My name is Tomas Salem, but friends call me Taco. I’m a social anthropologist sailing across the oceans on my sailboat Falkor, exploring people’s relation to faith, nature, and ideas about the good life through photography and text. Through my newsletters, you can tag along on my existential journey as I reflect on the lessons I learn from the sea, places, and people I encounter.

Join the Falkor crew and community

All subscribers get full access to the content I create and form part of the community of curious explorers that supports this journey and makes it possible. Paid subscribers receive priority access to join me as crew on Falkor, a copy of the ebook I’m writing, and their name mentioned in the acknowledgements.

Funding

My research and writing are supported by the Norwegian Fritt Ord Foundation, a private non-profit foundation that is intended to protect and promote freedom of expression, public debate, art, and culture, as well as through private donations. You can contribute to this project through this link.
